Chitkara University Library
CHITKARA UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
Library services at Chitkara University are the cornerstone of our education system and boast of a four-storey building with enormous space. Total built up area of the library is more than 30,000 Sq. ft. The library has a spacious reading hall, periodical centre, group discussion rooms and online database browsing area.
The mission of our library services at Chitkara University is to facilitate creation of new knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge resources.
Chitkara University has also subscribed to online databases such as EBSCO, the world's largest online archive of over 2000 business and management journals.
In addition, the library has large number of instructional videos, conference coverage and interactive learning titles for student reference. The library resource centre is fully automated and for this we have specialized user-friendly library software i.e KOHA:Integrated Library System.
This will be a library in the most advanced definition of that term. The space and the services provided are designed to foster collaboration among students and faculty, and to support discovery and retrieval of information resources resident in the Library and on the university campus, as well as digital ones.
